Senki Zesshou Symphogear - 01

Alternate title: Battle Songstress Nana Mizuki

I really like this anime and badly wanted to do it. I could not believed that our staffs agreed to do this. It made me very happy, you know? This time everyone of us paid extra efforts, so it took us 3 days to get it done.

Because of real life, we probably won't be fast on this. I myself only want to do it beautifully and don't really care about the rest. Since we have important member and friends working on another team, sorry but any negative comments about OTHER groups will be deleted.

Translation note later.

Edit: I'm working for a v2, for some minor typeset changes.

  1. Will you be doing xvid format still?

  2. 1) Since you're doing a late release, why didn't you wait for NicoNico cancer/Sentai-TAN to announce their simulcasts? You're gonna piss of downloaders by dropping this show later when NicoNico/Sentai-TAN announce simulcast for this after a week or two.

    2) Are you still going to do SD releases? You said in your old site that you're still doing it. I'm still waiting for SD version of Jewelpet Sunshine.

    1. 1) Picking a non-licensed show is like drawing a lottery, you know.
      2) The plan was delayed because I decided to help another group. Which was really important to keep them running. We're actually making some v2/v3 for the h264 version. AVI can only go after that.

    2. 1) Still you didn't explain why you did not wait for NicoNico to announce their simulcasts. They might announce their lineup a week or two. It's impossible for them not to announce anything. Also, it's not as really hard to determine which shows would get simulcasted. In the case of Symphogear, notice that one of the companies listed under the production committee is Dwango Inc. ---> mother company of Nico Nico. Though I'd really hope that Funico would burn to hell and leave all simulcasts to CR.
      2) Thanks. I'll wait for SD/AVI releases.

  6. Are you guys as a group done using honorifics? I know you used them in the past, but this release doesn't use them at all.

    1. Personally, I like to use honorifics in shows I work on. Why? Dunno, just do. But I also like to leave the decision up to the translator. Our translator didn't use honorifics, so I'm not going to put them in.

    2. The translator Cowteats doesn't use honorifics. I personally think honorifics are troublesome and want to get rid of it completely. But our members may not have the same opinion.

In Ikoku Meiro, we use a rather weird French "honorifics". And we added honorifics in Jewelpet sunshine. That's because the editor in the project, Ichigo69, insisted in using it. We can only let the team decide.

    3. Hi, my reason for not using honorifics is because I usually read out the subtitles aloud in my head and I find it extremely weird when reading English aloud with honorifics, especially when the names are not Japanese. Some people have gotten so used to them they find it unnatural to see subs with no honorifics, I understand. However, words like "Supervisor-sama" and "Rebecca-san" never fail to make me cringe.

  7. All them honorifics and AviD avi are nice and dandy...
But... Do we need to DL the torrents somewhere not here...?
